There was a power issue in one of DCU’s datacentres yesterday (9 January) that caused a disruption to the connection to Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge’s web server (i.e. Ainm.ie, Dúchas.ie, Gaois.ie, Logainm.ie) for 105 minutes (between 14:53:00 and 16:38:00). We would like to apologise for this.
The team at logainm.ie would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We will be back in the office on 3 January 2017 and will respond to enquiries sent to logainm@dcu.ie then.
Only English language placenames will be visible on the maps on Logainm.ie and Meitheal Logainm.ie from 18.00 on Friday, 16 December until 08.00 on Monday, 19 December due to necessary maintenance work being carried out by OSi MapGenie on their mapping services.
Competition on minor placenames for post-primary schools: A competition will be run early in the New Year on the theme of minor placenames using meitheal.logainm.ie. All information will be available in here on logainm.ie and in the newsletter in January - great prizes to be won!
